Forging the Dance

November 18th proved a very special night when I trekked along to the Pat Ahern's book launch. Norma Foley did a wonderful job of distilling the role Pat played in the arts and spiritual life in Kerry and how he had touched so many people. The event, supported by clergy, St. John's choir members, pupils of Presentation school and cast of Siamsa Tíre, culminated in a great display of dance and music. I was delighted to play tunes with Siamsa musicians Ann and Nickie McAulliffe, Michelle O'Sullivan, Avril Bowler and long time friend of Pat's, Antoin MacGabhann.
